5th Central European Quantum Information Processing Workshop
5-8 June 2008, Telč, Czech Republic

Telč is a charming small UNESCO heritage town (since 1992). It is the 2nd most visited place in Czech Republic (after Prague) and aims to become an eminent European tourist centre. The houses in Telč, which stands on a hilltop, were originally built of wood. After a fire in the late 14th century, the town was rebuilt in stone, surrounded by walls and further strengthened by a network of artificial ponds. The town's Gothic castle was reconstructed in High Gothic style in the late 15th century. Conference place: Our workshop will take place in the very center of the town, next to the castle, in historical buildings of a former Convent of Saint Angels, what allows us to preserve the traditionally stimulating scientific atmosphere and excellent food and wine. Accommodation: Accommodation in double (or single) rooms is included in conference fees. Participants will be accommodated in: Convent of Saint Angels Hotel Celerin Hotel Anton Details will be sent to participants later. Social program: The workshop is planned to be conducted in a very nice and stimulating athmosphere with intensive quantum scientific program and classical social program. The social program includes: - three social dinners in the Convent of Saint Angels - traditional CEQIP bike trip - bikes are provided by organizers and included in the registration fee. The trip will take place in an easy and flat terrain around worldfamous fishponds of Třeboň, the centre of former Rožmberk domain well know from romantic stories about emperor Rudolph II, Golem of Prague, ... The trip will take around 2-3 hours with a relaxed speed. Participants not interested in bike trip may join guided excursion in the chateau of Třeboň and surrounding gardens (included in the conference fee). Bus transport from Telč to Třeboň and back will be provided. Travel instructions: You may reach Telč by buses, usually changing in 'Jihlava' (connection from Wien, Prague and Brno), or use the conference bus departing from Brno bus station 'Hotel Grand' on 5th of June around 12:00 (precise time will be specified). The bus returns on Sunday and is supposed to arrive around 15:30 (precise time will be specified). If you plan to arrive to Brno on 4th of June, let us know. We are considering to organize an informal party in case there will be enough participants :-).
