Valtice is a small charming town near Austrian border and it has the official title "The capital of wine". Indeed, it lies in heart of the best Moravian wine regions famous mainly due to white aromatic wines. The conference takes place in a small, 500 years old, chateau "La Veneria", former seat of the supreme hunter (Grand Veneur) of the Lichtenstein princes. The lectures and one social dinner will take place in the main hall of the chateau, the coffee breaks will be in the neighbouring wine cellars. Accomodation is arranged partly in the chateau itself (very limited capacity) and in the neighbouring guest houses (Penzion Prinz, Vinarsky dvur, Penzion Irena). Please, do not book accommodation on your own. The accommodation is included in the conference fee. Social program: Social dinner in the chateau La Veneria (inluding excellent local wine). Guided tour in the chateau Valtice followed by a social dinner at the courtyard of the chateau with free access for degustation to the National salon of the wine exposition (top 100 Czech wines), which is housed in the cellars under the chateau. Travel instructions The best way to reach Valtice is to get to important railway junction point Břeclav (frequent direct trains coming from Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Wien and many more destinations. Břeclav is 5 km far from Valtice. Transport from Břeclav railway station to the conference site will be arranged by micro-buses and locat taxis (instant transport available independent of the time and date of arrival).
